Well-Written Objectives
This (2nd) week I got chance to know clearly how to write objectives of a lesson. this method is known as ABCD [Audience (A), Behavior (B), Condition (C), and Degree of Mastery (D)] model. I also learnt Bloom's Taxonomy of learning. Earler I used to emphacise on Cognitive skills, but now I am also aware of the significance of psychomotor and affective.I want to hear your understanding, too.

Dear Sindhu,
ReplyDeleteI do share your enthusiasm about this ABCD method. Indeed it's not easy to follow new models once you've got used to a different method of planning your lessons. It looked very complicated for me at the beginning but to be fair it could have been worse. One major advantage is that it distinguishes the particular levels of learning and thus it's easier to understand the purpose of every task you are planning.
Keep exploring and it's great you can look at the positive side of things.
Kind regards,
Alicja
Hi Sindhu!
ReplyDeleteNice to see your week two reflection. This Philipino, objective exercise on ABCD format is applicable in our context to be this twenty first century educators.Anyway we have to develop our habit towards affective and psycho-motor domain not only the cognitive.
Lets be in touch.
Upendra.
Dear Sindhu,
ReplyDeleteYou are simply marvelous, warm and candid. Yes, you are right on your assessment: On Bloom's Taxonomy as a must for teachers. It even dawned on me that I should really go search more on Bloom's taxonomy going digital. I found enlightenment when I browsed these sites: www.nwlink.com, techlearning.com,infomine and scoop.it.com, the later has intriguing notes on Bloom's taxonomy. You may want to discover it yourself and tell me about it later. Honestly, I am not an internet savvy, I just play with my mind, click the keyboard and read whatever comes and what I come across. You may want to do it too. Furthermore, the ABCD method makes things simpler and easier.
I am delighted to embrace you in our webskills journey. Hugs to your kids. Obviously, you have combined motherhood and career quite well, cheers to that.
Light and love,
Sonia
